'I'm a Tiger' Emotional Health and Well Being KS2 (primary)
Project Focus

Focused on reducing stress amongst primary children in a climate of transition, SATS and social pressure, the aims are to help young people develop resilience skills and forge coping strategies. Based on actual anxiety dreams of Year 6 pupils, the project uses analogical and metaphorical stories and a combination of performance and interactive workshops to help pupils explore solutions to the stress caused by change, bullying and pressure.

Target group Year 5, 6 + 7 Pupils (maximum 45 per performance/workshop)
Format - 40 min performance featuring live action, puppetry, animation, and music
- 70min interactive workshop

- Meets many Children’s Fund’s outcomes and objectives
- Explores sensitive issues in a generic and safe manner
- Encourages discussion around emotional health and well-being
- Promotes communication and storytelling
- Develops coping strategies and helps children establish beneficial internal and external responses to pressure
- Dispels myths and reduces fear of secondary school
- Addresses bullying, risk, anxiety, emotional recognition and resilience
