'Dizzyade Diaries' – KS4 Alcohol and SRE Forum Theatre Project

Project Focus Focusing on alcohol awareness and dispelling myths around alcohol consumption, Dizzyade Diaries was been researched with Year 10 pupils from Honley High School during May 2006. Their stories and experiences form the backbone of the storylines for the performance. This is our major Forum Theatre project for 2006.

Target group	Year 10 and 11 pupils (max 60)
Format	60 or 90 minute performance and interactive Forum Theatre workshop.
Benefits	- Promote sensible drinking - Explores issue of unprotected sex - Challenge attitudes and values towards alcohol consumption - Pupils will have the opportunity to explore the reasons for choices made around alcohol consumption - It will focus on developing understanding and insight around the benefits of and need for sensible drinking; from an individual and community perspective - It will link in with the PHSCE Citizenship national curriculum in schools - A reduction in underage sales of alcohol - The project reached 2537, 14-16 year olds over 35 performances during its pilot tour in Autumn 2006.
